Grasshopper in fall - Melanoplus bivittatus - female

Grasshopper in fall - Melanoplus bivittatus - Female
Okemos, Ingham County, Michigan, USA
September 25, 2015
Size: ~1.5 inches
What kind of grasshopper is this? Does it exhibit dimorphism - like smaller in summer than in the fall? Thanks for your help

Also, this is a gravid female
Her abdomen is full of eggs, which makes her considerably longer than when the eggs are gone.

Moved from ID Request.

Melanoplus bivittatus
There's only one generation annually but there are distinct size classes as they molt through the instars. There is sexual dimorphism - males are smaller than females.
