Dolomedes tenebrosus (Dark Fishing Spider)? - Dolomedes tenebrosus - female

Dolomedes tenebrosus (Dark Fishing Spider)? - Dolomedes tenebrosus - Female
Ocean Pines, Worcester County, Maryland, USA
September 27, 2015
Size: 1.0 in.body, 3.0 in.legs
Large spider seen on the foundation of our house where camel crickets are common. I initially thought it a wolf spider (Hogna sp) but from comments I think Dolomedes is a better ID. Not at all shy: waited patiently to be photographed and measured. This flash photo is clearer on detail; I'll add one taken by the porch light that gives its color and crouching position more accurately.

Can't see well, but eyes look wrong for Lycosidae
maybe Dolomedes instead?

You are probably correct
This photo on another site is a good match for the pose in my photo. This species evidently likes to perch head-down on vertical surfaces (especially rough stone or concrete) to wait for prey. Judging from size, then my specimen is a female.
