This is the second of six Wasps that I filmed on this day. This is the female and I will link the male's master image. (below) They appear to be the same species.
These are images of a Square-headed Wasp that I believe is a female Tachytes distinctus. Please note that this is a new species for the BugGuide.

1. - Hind femur without hair-like setae beneath toward base = 14
14. - Mandible redish yellow toward base = 15
15. - Female pygidial plate with dark setae; large species = 16
16. - Female clypeus gently convex (distinctus group) = 18
18. - Scutum anterolaterally with a patch of silvery or golden pubescence; both sexes with 3 or 5 well-defined pale tergal fasciae = 19
19. - Hind tibia all or mostly red; T1 to T4 various; female pigidial plate various = 20
20. - Female pygidial plate dark; with pale tergal fasciae on T1 to T3; hind femur mostly red (var.); widespread and common in U.S. and Mexico = Species distinctus F. Smith 1856
