A pair for Chen - Ctenophora dorsalis - Male Female

We found this mating pair of crane flies hanging on a tree about 6 feet off the ground, though there were others nearby in the vegetation. There also seemed to be all black males chasing the same females but we haven't been able to get a picture yet. Do the males come in two color phases?

Ctenophora dorsalis . Yes, this species come in different body size and body color from organe yellow to polished black. Here is some info on this character . - Chen
