Possible Big-headed fly (Pipunculidae)
This looks similar to one I'd photographed last year. You can check the ID I was given below:

But, you'll probably want someone else to confirm since I'm often mistaken. But might give you a starting point at any rate.

I believe this is a closer match than anything I've checked so far.

 
Male dance fly.
Pretty certain this is going to turn out to be a male dance fly of some kind (Empididae in the largest sense). Nice shot, as usual:-)

The hybotid was what I first considered, but really wasn't sure at all. Wish I'd been able to get a different view on the fly but it flew after this shot. thanks, Eric!
