Stiletto fly - Ozodiceromyia argentata - female

Stiletto fly - Ozodiceromyia argentata - Female
Fort Bragg, Cumberland County, North Carolina, USA
July 19, 2004
(looks a lot like a snipe fly)

Comment
I got an email from someone and they shared this info with me... It is a female in the genus Ozodiceromyia and is most likely Ozodiceromyia notata (Wiedemann, 1821)

Ozodiceromyia argentata
Like the other photo mistaken for O. notata, this one is Ozodiceromyia argentata (Bellardi).

Stiletto fly
It is a stiletto fly (family Therevidae). No idea what genus or species. Our fauna is rather impoverished so I have very little to compare with in our fauna.
