Came to a black light. Two sets of raised scales on forewing.

They're actually not that tough, but there were so many misidentified aesculana on the moffatiana page that it was causing confusion. I've cleaned them up, so have another look at moffatiana now. It's larger, paler green, much more mottled, has broader wings, and fades to a whitish color. Aesculana is a dark yellowish green like this when fresh and fades to gray. If you compare the two pages now that the misidentified ones have been moved, I think the differences will be clearer. :)

P. aesculana
. I am placing based on the very green color, and on this is late for
aesculana
.

I cropped your moth this time. In the future, you can really help editors and other contributors ID your moths by:
•
Crop
to just the moth. Only editors can see the full-sized photo
• Check either Adult or Immature at the bottom of Submit Image page
• Orient lateral images facing right, as it makes comparing easier
