Long Horn Beetle - Neandra brunnea

Long Horn Beetle - Neandra brunnea
Bowie, Prince George's County, Maryland, USA
August 12, 2004
I think I scrolled through all the beetle pages here without finding a match for this one. Reminds me of a finely lacquered piece of turned wood.

Moved
Moved from Neandra.

Actually its a longhorn beetle (Cerambycidae)
This is an odd one alright - this is Parandra (Neandra) brunnea.
Neandra is now sometimes considered a genus, subspecies are often recognized as well.
