Creek Critters - Mosquito Pupas

Creek Critters - Mosquito Pupas
Orange County, California, USA
May 27, 2007
These are my first images of this type of critter. Fortunately, I had nice, clear water and fairly easy access to it. Hope to do a more in-depth (sorry!) shoot later.

Mosquito
pupas? pupae?.(I don't know what the plural is) Wierd looking creatures!

Ah ha. Makes perfect sense.
Well, Graham, you got me scurrying for the dictionary. Both spellings are correct, and both look odd, don't they? And speaking of spelling, that "i before e" rule they teach in school often doesn't work. Weird, yes? LOL!
