Eastern Lubber Grasshopper (Romulea guttata ) - Romalea microptera - Female
Leesburg, Lake County, Florida, USA
June 6, 2007
Size: 3 - 4 inches long
Two of these beautiful creatures have been sitting on a daylily in our yard for two days. This morning I took this photo. Maybe it can be added to the library.

I used to catch them all the time in Orlando
I used to catch them around St. Charles Catholic Church when I was little, but I have a friend who has them in his yard all the time.

You can actually do it yourself
- now that it's here, you can tag and move it to the image page for that species, or you can post directly there and bypass ID Request altogether. If an editor disagrees with the ID or suitability of the image, we can always move it or frass it, now or later. See Help for tagging and moving images.

When posted to the speices level, the scientific name will show up automatically, so no need to include it in your title.
