This bug looks similar to . However in looking at the photos in Stephen Marshall's book - "Insects, Their Natural History and Diversity", I noticed a photo of a stink bug nymph on page 116 - #3 which also looked similar - Apateticus cynicus.

We wonder if that one image on one page
has been the source of some confusion? If Marshall also has this as Apateticus, as well as here, maybe these are Apateticus after all and that one image is wrong. It doesn't look like the images here. Michael's looks like Podisus here:
