really cool
I was expearimenting with one of these creatures this morning and when I dropped a bit of water near it it actually ran toward it instead of away from it and it drank some of it, a interesting find

Looks good to me
In this image you can see the "bags under the feet" (the right rear leg, especially) that indicate Forficulidae, and the only California species I know of are Doru lineare- which would have the appearance of a broad stripe down the back- and Forficula auricularia.

The forceps are the stout female version of the massive curved "ice tongs" of the male European Earwig, so it all fits.
