Water Scavenger Beetle

Water Scavenger Beetle
Catfish Beach, Lake Almanor, near Chester, Plumas County, California, USA
June 15, 2015
Size: Body length 1.5mm
This tiny beetle is one of several that emerged from pond-scum, (Filamentous green algae), that I had brought home and placed in an aquarium. All the specimens were greenish in color. Although the photos are not the best, I am thinking perhaps Genus Helophorus, see here: (1). My thanks for any further ID help.
