Male 'Pepsis cerberus' specimen from the CAS - Pepsis menechma - La Paz, "Lower" (= Baja) California June 23, 1919
Note the tuft of long, backward-angled, hairs on the 4th tergite (referred to as a "hair brush" in the literature)...which form a distinctive (posterad-facing) semi-circular pattern in males of P. menechma. (Such hair brushes are absent in females.)
