W. Black Widow 3 - Latrodectus hesperus

W. Black Widow 3 - Latrodectus hesperus
Husum, Klickitat County, Washington, USA
October 21, 2015
This spider was found in the woods bordering a wetland/prairie remnant, a long way from any human dwelling. Many thanks for BG!

Moved to the juvenile section
Moved from Western Black Widow. Sorry for the double move, I didn't realize there was a newly created section just for immature/juvenile L. hesperus. Moved this guy there.

Moved
Moved from Cobweb Spiders. This is a penultimate male (only needs one more molt to be mature) of the "western black widow." Not aggressive or anything and it's debatable whether or not the males ever even bite and if their venom is comparable to the females', but not important since you probably won't be pinching or poking him. :-)

Moved
Moved from ID Request.
