Parasitic Wasp - Ophionellus - female

Parasitic Wasp - Ophionellus - Female
Huber Heights, Montgomery County, Ohio, USA
September 27, 2015
Size: 11 mm
Small wasp I was having trouble keying out, found at porchlight.
Size measured with wasp as-is with curved abdomen.

The small wings with weak venation are throwing me off.
As a bonus, I got to play with a nice scope and some image stacking!

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

Yes - Ophionellus…
A female is suspected. Several species are present in Ohio. They are parasitoids of various Lep. larvae.

See reference here.

Key?
I have the wasp and access to a scope, is there a key available?

Whichever one it is, it would be a new confirmed species for BugGuide, as the only listed is O. texanus, which is clearly different.

I realize there may already be other images in the guide sitting at Genus level, but it would be nice to have a reference image.

Wild guess alert...
I wonder if it might be something in/near Ophionellus?

Hold on to hear from those with actual expertise. :)

Nice!
I think that must be in the right area!
The wing venation was leading me to a braconid, but the rest seemed wrong. After looking at Ophionellus, they are odd among the ichneumons of having the second vein missing.

I may even be wrong on the gender.

Did you just recognize from memory, or did you use a key of sorts?

I thought it might be Anomaloninae...
...so I searched for that subfamily in Ohio, and saw this:

When I looked at other images in the genus, I found the pic that looked like yours.
