Tiniest Hymenopteran I've ever seen: Proctotrupoidea ??? - Baeus

Tiniest Hymenopteran I've ever seen: Proctotrupoidea ??? - Baeus
Seattle, Ravenna Park, King County, Washington, USA
April 26, 2006
Size: 0.7 mm
I almost forgot I had this specimen... I found it in April 2006 in a Berlese sample of moss I collected next to a stream bed in Ravenna Park, Seattle. When I first saw the "bug" in my stereoscope I couldn't believe it had compound eyes. I was informed it might be a wingless Hymenopteran in a group called Proctotrupoidea. Does anybody know anything about these wingless wasps that are presumably parasitoids?

Sorry about the poor image quality. It is truly tiny (scalebar = 0.5mm). I still have the specimen in alcohol, by the way.

Scelionidae - Tribe Baeini - female
These tiny, very compact Scelionidae are parasitoids of eggs of Spiders. There are several similar genera, Baeus being only one of them.

Looks like it could be
one of these.

Thanks, that might be it
Thanks for showing me the link to the Scelionidae. I moved them here for now, but maybe I should have moved them into the "ID request" section first? They certainly look like they fit in here...
