Click Beetle - Eanus estriatus

Click Beetle - Eanus estriatus
Mt. Washington, Coos County, New Hampshire, USA
June 8, 2007

Thanks v
It sure does look like the MCZ type.

New genus for the guide
Moved from Click Beetles.

looks interesting!
. . . but I keep away from guesses (also for the rest), knowing you´ll keep them for being keyed later :-)

Boris,
I've got this and a number of others saved, and will send them when the assortment tray I'm using is full.

Eanus sp.
The genus will be Eanus, and probably close to E. granicollis.

must be Eanus estriatus (LeConte, 1853)
i like the MCZ type; Canada checklist has it for ON & most of Atlantic prov's; not yet in UNH list -- state record? (both Eanus spp. currently listed may be excluded based on MCZ types)
