Potter Wasp - Eumenes fraternus

Potter Wasp - Eumenes fraternus
West Ashley, Charleston County, South Carolina, USA
June 13, 2007
Today, the 13th he seems to be as big as his chamber! He has also changed color and may be ready to pupate. Some of the caterpillars have went "bad". I left one fresh one in there with him. I have a second "on reserve".

What a great story!
We anxiously await the next chapter!

me too
I have looked online but I can't find any info on the larval duration of this species. I really don't know how much bigger this larvae can get and I'm down to 2 caterpillars. I got a brief look at the adult and I'm pretty sure this is Eumenes but I'd love to know how long I have to wait for it to go from larvae, pupa, to adult!
