Swallowtail - Papilio canadensis

Swallowtail - Papilio canadensis
Two Lakes Road, Lake Tomahawk, Oneida County, Wisconsin, USA
July 4, 1972
So who can tell the Canada Swallowtails from the Tiger Swallowtails? This is very far north in Wisconsin, almost the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

looks like Canadian
...because of the wide black stripe on the inner margin of the hindwing. The CBIF site shows pics and discusses the differences between Eastern and Canadian Tiger Swallowtails.

thanks
