Nitidulidae, dorsal - Carpophilus brachypterus

Nitidulidae, dorsal - Carpophilus brachypterus
Plymouth Rock, Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA
June 18, 2015
Size: 2+ mm
Interesting (to me) that there were wasps, bees and beetles on the flowers of the common, almost weedy, Fleabane, Erigeron sp., more so than on any of the other available native flowers. For this one day, this one walk, I collected some the life on the Fleabane.
