In areas the goldenrod stems are just covered with these red aphids and if you look closer, there are sometimes other nymphs and insects lurking about.

Long lurker likely lacewing larva
I also think I see a tiny carpet beetle, right of center and about halfway down. Rest appear to be aphids.
