Eupeodes volucris? - Eupeodes volucris - Female
El Paso, El Paso County, Texas, USA
January 13, 2016
Inside the "ceiling" of a high tunnel or hoop house.

Moved
Moved from Syrphini.

From Bill Dean's comments: "The black somewhat semi-circular mark above the black antennae and clear pale yellow band separating it from the rest of the frons..."

Note the straight R4+5 vein and mostly bare eyes, which separates it from Scaeva pyrastri, which also has whitish curved markings on the abdomen and is in the same tribe.

Thank you Kelsey!
for your kind help and detailed explanation.
