Gathering_2015. I have a terrible time with IDs in this taxon. Any help is much appreciated!

Puzzled
I am puzzled by this image. This is a member of the Stenodynerus propinquus-group. Species with this colour pattern occur in arid regions of the western U.S. Is there a chance that this image has been mislabelled?

Thank you very much
for the genus ID. No, I'm sure this image was taken in WI, since the digital camera pics all stay in order. It was somewhere between a Cope's gray tree frog and some lilies from the garden.

Stenodynerus fundatiformis gonosceles
Thanks, Valerie! I looked into this further. This appears to be a male of Stenodynerus fundatiformis gonosceles. I have never seen an individual of this species with white markings (usually they should be yellow). Wisconsin is in fact within the range of this species (the literature has records from MN). What threw me off is the white coloration which is found in most western species of this species group. So it is a very interesting find and a good record from the northern limit of the range of this species.
