Size: Forewing length 18 mm
I think it looks like there is a "third tooth" here, but then it can be my imagination messing with me. This moth found by porch lights at a temperature of 37F (27F with the wind chill).

Anitka, I didn't understand your reference to a 3rd tooth, but I think it looks like . It seems I remember these are very early moths. Interesting what can be out there is this weather. I had 32 different species come to my sheet Jan. 12 and 13 but I did not have a Phigalia. Haven't been back since.

I had not found that before but have put it into my references. Great reference, but it does not change my opinion as to the species of your moth.

I have had some really fresh and nice looking moths these last couple of days despite the weather. Looking forward to warmer days with even more activity. :-)
