Lilypad Clubtail - Arigomphus furcifer - Male
Mountsburg Conservation Area, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
June 16, 2007
Spend the day at Mountsburg Conservation Area oding and kayaking. Came across this guy while I was on my way back from the very north end of the reservoir. Saw a few of this type looking odes. Had such a hard time getting close enough to one to get a photo. Its hard to be sneaky in a kayak. Turned out to be yet another Lilypad. Very cool. Also it was right on the boarder of Hamilton/Waterloo (and Halton is also just a KM away or so). The north end of the reservoir is in Waterloo Region and the southern 2/3s is in Hamilton Region(hard to tell exactly where you are when your on the water...silly human boundaries). ;P

Tail view not so good in this photo. See other individuals tail appendage shots for more details for ID.
