Clear-winged Grasshopper - Camnula pellucida - female

Clear-winged Grasshopper - Camnula pellucida - Female
Seatac, King County, Washington, USA
June 16, 2007
Size: 18mm
I was only able to get this shot, I know we have "Carol*ina Grasshoppers" (I don't know if they're the same species, but they have the same pattern on the open wings and they click when they fly).
Found in "waste" area in a park that was once a neighborhood and now allowed to go back to the wild.

Camnula pellucida
Looks like a female 5th instar nymph of this species to me.

Thank you
They are seemingly common in that area.

I don't know.
I don't know Cheryl. Not even totally sure it is one of the band-winged locusts, though it probably is. Carolina locusts are certainly the most common variety up there, though.
