About the white spots
It seems like the small spot and the underwing pattern indiciate this is an American lady, but it also seems like on the top 'quadrants' of the wings, the specimen in my picture has that one elongated spot that the Painted lady has the one closest to the body, whats that about?

It definitely resembles the American most, the shape of the black areas are a better match for the American, but it stands out with those longer white spots.
