Peppertree psyllid nymph and pits - Calophya schini

Peppertree psyllid nymph and pits - Calophya schini
Alum Rock Park, Santa Clara County, California, USA
February 14, 2016
Size: 1mm
I noticed spots on the leaves of one of the pepper trees on the North Rim Trail. After I took photos while holding the leaves, my fingers were sticky and smelled like pepper. Light was diminishing, and I didn't notice the occupant among the empty pits until I viewed the leaflet under a microscope.
