What species of tree did you find it on? I have never had the good fortune of seeing this one.

 
I've never actually found the
I've never actually found them on trees. They're always on pieces of wood I have setup near my moth lights. This is a sheet of weathered plywood and others I've seen were on old oak planks pulled from a decaying barn. I take it you agree with the ID?
