This is quite a wide ranging and variable Hyperaspis, with records all across the western and central United States. Most specimens have 6 elytral markings, but this one is missing the apical pair of spots.

I want to make an effort to turn up some Coccinellids this year, so hopefully more of this and others to show off soon enough...
