Species ID
R. gutticollis based on species key in Larson et al's publication on Neartic Dysticidae (2001). I recently obtained my copy, mainly to sort out my collection but hopefully some of the unknown images in the guide may also be figured out.
Diagnostic characters include the pair of medial pronotal spots and the black colouration of the head narrowly encircling around the eyes (in the similar R. binotatus, the black colouration does not encircle the eyes). The habitat and locality data also fit the species id- it is found mainly in streams and is primarily a western species (range includes Nevada).

thanks Tim!
Thanks for keying this one out. Looks like a good fit based on the characters you list.

best guess: Rhantus sp. (not too happy about it though)
great pics; must be easily IDable for someone familiar with the local fauna. To make things more exciting, it looks very much like
Rhantus suturalis
shown here
