small Bup. - Pachyschelus laevigatus

small Bup. - Pachyschelus laevigatus
Kingston, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, USA
June 17, 2007
Size: 2.5mm

Thanks Ted
It sounds like a safe bet placing this under laevigatus.

Pachyschelus sp. (prob. laevigatus)
...two species have this black coloration with no pubescence - P. laevigatus is common and widespread across the eastern U.S. The doubtfully distinct P. confusus has been recorded only from MI and MN and is distinguished only by the male genitalia.
