Lady beetle - Olla v-nigrum

Lady beetle - Olla v-nigrum
Las Cruces, Dona Ana County, New Mexico, USA
March 2, 2016
Caught using a sweep net in a weedy alfalfa field. I could not find a match on BG, but Chilocorus is my best guess.

This is Olla v-nigrum
remember those light grey guys with the dark spots? That's what this is :)

Great images. The head shot is very useful for these sorts of ladybugs. So is the underside too, actually. None of the Chilocorus or Axion have white markings on the front.

Thank you James!
I was only familiar with the ashy-gray and dark spots color variant. Thank for your ID and for your kind comment on my photos.
