Moved from Crabronidae.

male Dryinidae
The prominent stigma with bethyloid venation and large quadrate head with a basal carina make this a sure bet for Dryinidae. I would think that is most likely in the genus Deinodryinus.

Deinodryinus atriventris
I got out my keys and its definitely in the Anteoninae, and from there it works out to be in Deinodryinus. There are only two species with the rugose head, D. atriventris and D. paradoxus. D. paradoxus is known from Arizona and Mexico, while D. atriventris is found throughout the USA. One of the reason you were having trouble with seeing the antennae sharply is that they are covered with hairs. I've compared the specimen pictured with those in my collection and they make an excellent match for a male Deinodryinus atriventris.
