Ophion…
O. obscuratus is not a Nearctic species. Unfortunately, most of our Ophion species have not been described because of the difficulty in separating them out morphologically, and the high degree of variability between species. Lately, DNA analysis has been attempted to at least separate certain species groups from each other.
