Dainty flying fluff - Eriosoma

Dainty flying fluff - Eriosoma
Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, USA
June 20, 2007
Size: 5 mm
I would look this up myself, but I really don't know where to start. What are these things? They are so wonderful to see floating by.

Looks similar
to the wooly aphids I observed last year - but my images weren't nearly as sharp!

If I had to
find it myself, I would have started with aphids, but I don't know where in aphids.

Oh, the joys of Google!
You only need a key word and it supplies the universe. See the discussion under this image regarding wooly aphids.
