The Bees in Your Backyard: A Guide to North America's Bees.
By Joseph S. Wilson & Olivia J. Messinger Carril
Princeton University Press, 2015
ISBN: 0691160775
Cite: 1202433 with citation markup [cite:1202433]
A wonderfully written, richly and attractively illustrated book, mostly with the authors' own excellent images!
This is a wonderful introduction to North America's over 4000 native bee species. The title page's photos communicate at once the great diversity of our bee fauna.
A MUST for everyone who wants to learn about the bees that have evolved with our flora, as well as a useful reference for professionals.

"The Bees in your Backyard" Lasioglossum?
Does anyone know if this book is good for keying out lasioglossum to sub-genus? I'm trying to find some guides for the genus.

Only genera -
though there is mention of some subgenera of Lassioglosum, but no key. You find a key to the subgenera of Lasioglossum of the Western Hemisphere in Michener, 2nd ed. 2007 (1), p. 373.
