Hopefully...
when the species is named, the paper that describes it will cite the braconid paper so that the link between the two is definitively established. I'm going to help Erik with some papers on North American nepticulids, so I may have the opportunity to make sure that happens. Two of the three parasitoid species I've coauthored so far (all
Platygaster
spp.) likewise were reared from hosts that have yet to be described.

I sent Erik van Nieukerken the three adults I reared, and he says: "I checked the dissected genitalia and they don't look like any named species. It is probably related to
S. rhamnicola
, and I place this and related species now in the Holarctic
Stigmella rhamnella
group."
