Mapwise, I am in the heart of the 17-year-locust emergence this year, though the largest numbers so far (in this area) have been to the south of me & north of the city of Chicago. "Chicago Wilderness" magazine states that there are actually 3 species--Magicicada septendecim, Magicicada cassini, & Magicicada septendecula. I looked through the bug guide but cannot tell them apart. Can you help?
