if actually from Pennsylvania...
likely to be Diapheromera femorata

Is this genus so variable?
Thank you very much! I followed the paper "A Key to the Stick-Insect Genera of the 'Anareolatae' of the New World, with Descriptions of Several New Taxa (Insecta: Phasmatodea)" to identify it to genus level. But it seems not in accordance with female Diapheromera...like "53. Meso- and/ or metafemora broadened"...

Condition of specimen
This specimen is in very poor condition, deteriorated or parasitized.

No location is given, or a collection date.

I would be surprised if a definitive ID could be given.

It is from Pennsylvania
thanks for your kind help. I only know it is from Pennsylvania, and it was packed in a Container in December, 2015. So it died and was destroyed. The black color of its abdomen is a symptom of parasitized? Which genus it belongs to or is it Diapheromera femorata? Thanks a lot.
