Size: about 3-3 1/2 cm
I spotted this moth on the trunk of a Maple tree in the afternoon. After a little coaxing, it briefly showed a dark underwing.

This looks to be the Great Brocade, Eurois occulta, # 10929. Nice images.

Eurois occulta sure looks right to me. I was so focused on Catocala that I don't think I ever would have found the right genus. Thank you so much. :)
