Megapenthes limbalis (Herbst 1806) ?
Lynette-

It is rather presumptuous to sight-id click beetles (there are a lot of them and many look remarkably similar), but this is a dead ringer for the species Megapenthes limbalis (Elaterinae: Megapenthini). It's a bit lighter in overall color than most of our specimens, but otherwise it's indistinguishable.

cheers,

zack

Neat!
This has to be one of the more colorful click beetles I have ever seen. Nice portrait.
