Bob,
I agree with you, but because of Perry's continual and flagrant disregard for adding dates to any of his submittals, they are worthless for distribution data. Only because these images are too beautiful to frass, as are most of Perry's photos, I have taken the liberty to add the dates from the EXIF data.

I'm sorry for the problems caused due to a lack of information. I'd suggest that you have a large bright red pop-up on the form page that tells people not to post if they are not willing to completely fill the information. Explain to them that this is a site used to collect scientific data. I didn't realize that not filling the date was going to cause problems.
