Dragonhunter - Hagenius brevistylus

Dragonhunter - Hagenius brevistylus
Massey, Algoma District, Ontario, Canada
August 5, 2006
Size: 3.5in
I was at a local lake and tons of dragonfly and damselflies were zipping around.. It was wonderful, this guy however landed on the bow of the canoe and stayed still long enough for me to photograph. The pics arent of the greatest quality as I was using my video camera. Still I thought they would be nice to add as I have some closeups, and it was this site which helped me identify the most common Dragonfly in my area, I see this species all of the time, at every lake I visit.
