Vouchers
John, would vouchers help in identifying these two unknown Rhamphomyia species, from my yard? If they haven't been described, is there anybody currently working on them, who would want some paratypes? Thanks

No clue
There was a project to untangle the North American Empidinae, but I don't know if it's any closer to completion than it was 5 years ago. As far as I'm concerned this group will be forever unidentifiable in North America -- the main result from the research was that even genus identifications are wrong.
