Size: ~35 mm
Found this running around on the ground. Would not stop unless partially/completely under cover. When I removed the cover or touched it, it would curl the tip of it's abdomen in the air. Need help with an ID if possible.

A suggestion...
This looks like it may be a rove beetle. Maybe Platydracus sp.? :)
