Bee fly - Villa

Bee fly - Villa
Weldon Spring, St. Charles County, Missouri, USA
June 23, 2007
Size: ~12 mm
Looks like a bee fly possibly Villa.

It is a Villa -
R2+3 comes off at a right angle, thus Villini . Abdominal markings, clear wings, two submarginal cells, discal cell acute at apex, make it a Villa .

Villa lateralis-possible
I have exact one in AL but need ID, too
Good source for ID: http://mamba.bio.uci.edu/~pjbryant/biodiv/diptera/Villa3.htm
