Light blue metallic long-legged fly - Dolichopus - Male
Harms Woods Forest Preserve, Glenview, Cook County, Illinois, USA

Size: ~6mm
There were dozens of these delicate metallic flies resting on vegetation in the oak woodland, so we can't be sure these are images of the same individual and we'll unlink them if people think we should. Tom Murray identified them as Dolichopodidae last year. Any further identification possible?
