I think this is in the other subfamily and likely in the genus Micropeza proper.

 
what makes you think it's micropeza?
as far as i know, the ways to distinguish the subfamilies Micropezinae and Taeniapterinae are venation and head chaetotaxy, neither of which I can see in this photo. If you compare the shape of this fly's head to the other Micropeza here, they are slightly different. If you know some characters I don't, could you please explain them? i'm just looking to learn
